I get the feeling you guys might have heard entire songs he created or recreated in their entirety or tending on TikTok. As a Canadian, I have to say I love this one from among the traditional Canadian songs he covered. :) I will likely share some of my other favorites by him from around the world. :):)

My fav chart for yesterday, Monday Feb. 10th! :) This chart contains so many truths and so many key elements of a short term approach. Cheap stock but above a dollar per share. A clear squeeze. And now, the final truth. If all of us had time to sit at home or at work and trade these, we would buy by 9:45am and sell at the bottom of all that funny indecisive action because we would get exhausted and would not have the nerve to wait longer for a resolution. That is the truth babe! Anyone who thinks- after the fact- they would wait and capture a lot more of this move is either super experienced or, more likely- dishonest. :)

If you just looked at daily percent change after the market closes, without looking at the chart, you would think meh whatever. But, for those lucky enough to be able to pay attention when most people are in class or at work or sleeping lol- my goodness what an opportunity that was! :P Still, it is almost as if they want to keep trading hours precisely when most people cannot catch this beautiful action!

Patrick Boyle makes it happen again! This time, he sums up in a balanced and educated way what has happened with Deepseek. When you want to tune out the noise and follow a good sound, you give Patrick a try. Key takeaway notes included! :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch…
Key takeaway points:
Breakthrough AI Model: DeepSeek, a Chinese AI company, released a new reasoning model comparable to those from OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Anthropic, but developed at a fraction of the cost.
Impact of U.S. Chip Restrictions: Despite U.S. bans on Nvidiaβs top AI chips, DeepSeek built its model using outdated hardware, challenging the belief that cutting-edge chips are necessary for top-tier AI development.
Stock Market Reaction: The release of DeepSeekβs model led to a $600 billion drop in Nvidiaβs market cap (17% decline) and affected other AI infrastructure stocks, raising doubts about massive AI investments.
Cost-Efficiency Challenge: The realization that high-performance AI models can be built cheaply questioned the dominant strategy of mega-tech firms pouring billions into AI infrastructure.
Chinaβs AI Evolution: DeepSeek and other Chinese firms (Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance) are advancing in AI, focusing on cost-efficient innovations due to hardware limitations imposed by U.S. sanctions.
Technical Innovations: DeepSeek achieved efficiency by using techniques like 8-bit floating point numbers, mixture of experts models, and optimized communication between GPUs, significantly cutting costs.
Accusations of Data Use: OpenAI alleged that DeepSeek might have used its proprietary models for training, employing a method called "distillation" to improve smaller models using larger ones' outputs.
Political and Security Concerns: DeepSeekβs censorship of politically sensitive topics raises concerns in the West, with U.S. institutions banning its app due to potential security risks.
Implications for AI Dominance: The AI industry may not follow a "winner-takes-all" model like Google Search; instead, multiple AI models could emerge globally, adapted to regional trust and security concerns.
Skepticism About AI Hype: While AI investment continues to surge, some investors question its sustainability, comparing the AI boom to past tech bubbles like Web3 and NFTs.
Sooo, my sister's boyfriend and I needed to have a talk- finally! π© About what, you might ask? Well, it was about us not doing stuff together any more because he really shouldn't be cheating on my sister with me! π©π© He said well, OF and "practicing" for OF is not cheating. Imagine that! The audacity! After around 15 minutes or so, I thought I had him! Turns out, he was only pretending to listen and, without me realizing it, he was getting ready to have...me. π He said "You know what? I hear you (as if, fml). But, there are ways to do it without it being considered cheating." Suddenly, but still reluctantly, I was all ears.
What ended up happening next... well, it's up to you to determine whether that's considered cheating or not in 2025. π

Patrick Boyle does us a solid again by bringing up data and perspective on LA fires that the mainstream either does in a glib way or one of the its ultimately useless spins. Check it out or use the key takeaway notes below if you like the topic but are in a rush/ :)
https://youtu.be/V7zKIKEMlhY?si=cQoa88RtYxzFhaKA
Key Takeaway Notes with time stamps:
(00:00) The National Interagency Fire Center warned of high fire potential in Southern California due to warm weather, dry conditions, and Santa Ana winds.
(00:36) Santa Ana winds, known for fueling major wildfires, contribute to rapid fire spread by drying out vegetation.
(01:14) The Palisades and Eaton fires are among the most destructive in California's history, causing significant loss of life and property.
(02:31) Increased population in wooded areas has heightened the risk and impact of wildfires, exacerbated by a phenomenon known as hydroclimate whiplash.
(03:45) Regulatory delays in controlled burns and vegetation thinning complicate fire prevention efforts, but these practices wouldn't have helped in current fire zones.
(06:09) The Los Angeles wildfires are projected to be the most expensive in U.S. history, with significant insurance industry losses and challenges in rebuilding.
(08:55) Insurance issues in California, including coverage caps and insurer withdrawals, have left many underinsured, complicating recovery efforts.(12:09) Utilities face potential liabilities under California's inverse condemnation law, leading to financial risks and investor concerns.
(14:48) State insurance market issues stem from Proposition 103, which limits rate increases and affects insurers' profitability, leading to a withdrawal from high-risk areas.
(18:01) Recent changes in insurance regulation aim to stabilize the market by allowing forward-looking risk assessments and passing reinsurance costs to consumers, though challenges remain.
Isn't it weird how you go out because you wanna get in? π

Key takeaway points:
In 2024, immigration became a significant concern among voters in both Europe and the United States, with a Gallup survey indicating a majority of Americans preferred less immigration, marking a notable shift since 2005.
The US, home to the largest foreign-born population globally, has immigrants constituting 14.3% of its population, with the majority legally present, while 11 to 13 million are estimated to be illegal immigrants, forming up to 6% of the US workforce.
Illegal immigrants predominantly reside in California, Florida, New York, and Texas, working mainly in agriculture, service, and construction sectors.
Immigration has been a key issue for Donald Trump, who advocated for reducing both legal and illegal immigration, proposing a border wall, which led to a government shutdown and a national emergency declaration to divert funds for its construction.
The Biden administration aimed to reverse Trump's immigration policies, reducing domestic enforcement and focusing on migration drivers from Central America. However, during the pandemic, a public health law allowed rapid border turnbacks, which continued under Biden until 2023.
A record high of nearly 2.5 million apprehensions occurred at the southern border in 2023, with a shift from predominantly Mexican migrants to more from Asia, particularly China and India, seeking asylum.
Trump's proposed mass deportations are complex and costly, potentially removing 6% of the workforce, with significant financial and social implications. His past deportation numbers were lower than Obama's, despite his tough rhetoric.
The economic impact of deportations is debated, with some economists warning of labor shortages and inflation, while others predict positive effects on earnings and the stock market, reflecting a divide in economic interpretations.
Under Biden, border crossings increased due to perceived better treatment of migrants, with many seeking asylum and obtaining work permits, though not eligible for federal benefits except in specific cases.
Immigration reform remains a challenge, with the last major legislative success under Ronald Reagan in 1986. Subsequent efforts by Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden have stalled, reflecting ongoing political and economic debates on balancing immigration needs and resources.
Trump's additional proposals include ending birthright citizenship, limiting visa durations, and restricting refugee admissions, which would require significant funding and legislative support, and could have far-reaching consequences on the US economy and society.
